Using NRGene’s unique sequence-based diversity analysis, we designed an ultimate SNP set for various crops, allowing you to gain the most out of your genotypic data. SNPro™ significantly reduces genotyping costs and enables you to achieve your breeding goals, while keeping within your budget.
Based on our SNPer technology, we have designed SNP panels for various crops.

NRGene can provide imputed data as fast as four weeks from receipt of samples to data delivery.
We make the process as simple as possible for routine, recurring genotyping. You are responsible for collecting tissue or seed samples from breeding populations in a 96 well plate format and shipping the plates. We will provide complete instructions and specify approved plasticware. NRGene manages the entire process from this point forward. We will genotype the samples with the minimal SNPro plex, perform quality control on the data and samples, impute data for the target SNP set, and deliver the complete data back to you. In addition, we provide a report that outlines details of the process, includes metrics we capture, and describes all quality issues encountered.
The SNPro™ plex is optimized by minimizing the number of SNPs genotyped while maximizing the accuracy of the imputed data. For this purpose, we use elite lines previously genotyped with a high-density plex and create breeding populations of various types by simulation. We validate imputation accuracy by genotyping real breeding populations with the SNPro™ plex, imputing the larger set of target SNPs, and compare the imputed datapoints to datapoints obtained directly by genotyping the same samples with a high-density plex. Across many thousands of samples in several crops, median accuracy is usually around 97-98%, and only a small fraction of samples present accuracies less than 95%.
