About this position:

Business development is seen as a crucial function for the company’s ensured future success and growth. Working alongside the CEO, VP of Business Development is responsible to lead the company’s strategy through several growth engines (collaborations, partnerships, M&As, other) and manage strategic existing collaborations. We’re looking for an exceptionally driven, experienced business development professional. If you are a confident, dynamic, and passionate individual who uses a strategic approach with clients, and partners with the willingness and the skill to generate opportunities, as well as building your own pipeline. Must be a team player with a dynamic personality that can work within a global multicultural team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business management

  • Understand the business of NRGene, its future Product Roadmap, and how to align growth engines with NRGene’s Vision and Mission
  • Able to grasp company strategy and transform these into an actionable plan to then execute on
  • Capable of identifying business opportunities in various fields falling under Biz Dev. and capitalizing on them
  • Leading activities involving Collaborations (Sales and Marketing related), Partnerships and M&A activities within the scope of work
  • Able to identify new verticals within the various segments of the company collaboration efforts and develop these verticals
  • Defining business plans and business models

Education and/or experience

  • Exceptional communication skills. Superior interdisciplinary communication and listening skills to interface with customers and partners
  • Ability to function independently within a team with a go-getter attitude needed in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
  • 8+ years of experience in business development roles in the field of agriculture, food-tech, biotech
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic changing environment and multitask. Able to deliver in stressful situations
  • Proven track-record in closing deals in the field of agriculture and/or food-tech
  • BSc in Molecular Biology or Genomics – an advantage
  • MBA an advantage
  • Fluent in English (reading/writing and speaking)
  • Willingness to travel frequently, per the needs of the company
